This is a fully automated water shut off valve system. Made by the company Onsite Pro Inc. The unit is called Flood Stop and this particular model is FS 3/8C. It is mated with a wireless Insteon 2421 TriggerLinc module which allows the owner to be notified via sms text messaging, e-mail, or through any visual or audible indicator when the presence of water is detected.

In this video you will see a basic demo of what will happen upon the sensor becoming wet.

For clarity sake the electronic valve has been removed.

FLOOD STOP OPERATION:

1. The sensor detects the presence of water.

2. The electronic valve will immediately close the water supply going to the appliance / fixture to prevent a flood.

3. The Floodstop device will emit a continuous sound for aprox 10-15 seconds to alert you of a water leak. After this time the device will stop sounding a continuous tone, and will than continue to beep until the water condition has been repaired and corrected.

INSTEON INTEGRATION:

1. Once water is detected the Floodstop device will output a signal to the 2421 wireless device.

2. The Insteon 2421 TriggerLinc at that time will perform two functions.

3. It will turn off the power to the device in question to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This is accomplished using a Insteon ApplianceLinc Relay module.

4. It will than send out a e-mail, sms text message, voice mail to the owner and the security monitoring station.

5. It will than turn on any audio / visual indicator in the home. To alert the owner just in case they have not received the notification. This is accomplished using a UDI ISY-99i Pro Home Automation System Controller.
