Canon PowerShot G9 Lens Replacement

The lens on my G9 stopped working properly, turned it on the day after it fell 1.5" out of the truck while in its case, lens fully extended to full telephoto and went "len error", after that it could not retract the lens nor start properly. I bought a used lens on eBay for $40 and swapped it in. The replacement has some wear and scratches on the barrel cover ring and the motors are slightly noisy, but it at least works again.
I recorded this repair on my Logitech C510 in "glorious" 720p.

Update March, 2015: Nearly 3 years later but the video is actually published now. Youtube allowed longer videos some time ago and I just noticed this one was back again on the video manager and could be activated. Maybe this will help someone.
