Hey Guys! Welcome and in today’s video, I'll show you how to make Turai Prawns Sabzi.
.
Tori's Spicy Prawn that spicy & sweet kick when you bite into , our succulent Ridge gourd and prawn masala is a very popular dish in maharashtra, this is my mum's recipe she name this recipe shirole jhingi ki sabzi...also known as tori , turai ,Beerakaya Royyala masala in Telugu and Turai aur Jhinga ka masala in our home. Ridge gourd combined with prawns makes this dish very delicious and appetising.

When Turai is cooked, it gives out a sweet flavour and taste. It also reduces a lot in quantity as Turai is made of lot of water. Buy Ridge gourd which are young and not the aged or ripened ones ...mine is aged turai that's why i remove the seeds those are so hard..you can also use Ghosale / Courgette instead of this as it will be fibrous .

Checkout my Other Ridge gourd Egg Bhaji recipe too which has very similar ingredients but the way of cooking is a bit different. If you are cooking in a vessel, use a good utensil as you will be stirring (bhuna/saute/fry) a lot to give a delicious taste to the Ridge gourd and prawn masala.

●10-12 Curry Leaves
●1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
●3-4 Green Chillies
●1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
●2 Onions
●2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
●2 Ridge Gourd [Shirole]
●200 gms Prawns
●Salt to taste
●Oil for Cooking
