When Delphina first picked up a footy at 12 years old, she didn’t know how much it would change her life.

A footy clinic had come to the Cape York, in Far North Queensland, and she was scouted to play in a rep team down in Brisbane.

Now, the teenager from Weipa has played more than 100 games and is aiming for a spot in the AFLW.

Delphina was a 2025 Heywire winner.
