Building a Modern Urban District with Digital Twin Technology: Siemensstadt Square

Another chapter in Berlin’s legacy is unfolding. On a site that Siemens purchased 125 years ago, the company is developing Siemensstadt Square, a modern urban district, which will be developed by 2035.

The new district will be open, inclusive, sustainable, and energy efficient. To achieve that vision, Siemens is constructing the city twice – first in the digital world and then in the real one. A digital twin, built with Bentley technology, will enable all stakeholders, from engineers and architects to surveyors and construction workers, to collaborate better along the entire lifecycle.
