NOKPANTE captured the hearts of everyone with “Jakgitel”, a song with a strong message about needing freedom and peace at a time when Garo Hills was in a state of turmoil. It was the first A•chik (Garo) song to be featured in MTV Indies. Since then, they have released a number of songs that have evoked a variety of emotions and conversations. “Walnam Ka•sara Pring” was released in November of 2017 with a video and tune that captured hearts and minds of people everywhere. Hmm Angai was released in February of 2022 with a haunting sound encapsulating the essence of a father having to say goodbye to his son. This live rendition of the song tries to capture the magic of both those songs in a single performance with the help of some of the best musicians in Tura. These songs, though released far apart, are also part of their soon-to-be-released EP "Ja•bisa”. NOKPANTE is constantly breaking barriers of genre and songwriting, bringing a sense of freshness to A•chik music.
