Nanokill - Demokratur - LIVE

Eve d'Orso and Axel Noon are the "overclocked" components of a system they denounce. An insomniac, Eve writes at night. She composed her first song at the age of 10 years old, a two-page poem on what she thinks of the human race. She also sings on weekends at the Cathedral at Sion (in Switzerland). For her, music is a means of expression and above all, an escape. A major analgesic. Following a hectic personal and professional career, she decided to end her career as a psychologist.

As for Axel, he became involved with music from an early age, with his brother Paul, a well-known musician in their native Canada; a brother who committed suicide and whom he tries to emulate. First guitarist, bass player and drummer, he later became enthralled by electro-pop programming. Influenced by punk, the blues and garage rock - depending on whom he met and the state of his sobriety - he approached Topper Headon (ex. The Clash) in the 90s, whom he worships with an almost mystical admiration. Despite the limited popular acclaim for his first group "The Ultimate Triangle" in Canada as well as a lukewarm reaction to the "Astroboys" in London, personal and family problems caught up to him and would take him off the scene for several years. During this period of healing, he read a lot, learnt about geopolitics, history, discovered well-known thinkers such as Noam Chomsky and Hannah Arendt and made friends through activist networks.

This is how Axel and Eve met for the first time in 2009, during the European Exopolitics Summit in Barcelona. Their commitments and ideas about the world merged and brought them together, music united them. Together, they formed Nanokill, a name that is an explicit war cry or warning, those we never read about as they're usually relegated to an asterisk, written in lowercase letters.

Who kills what ? The only certainty with them is no longer knowing who is the assassin in the end : the virus or the vaccine, poison or its antidote. "Know thyself and thou shall know the universe and the gods" affirms the inscription engraved on the pediment of the Pythia of Delphi temple. If we apply this to Nanokill, at the end of their respective chaotic paths, the path becomes enclosed and demons travel across the walls...

And what if music was only an excuse ?
