Install of Basement Watchdog sump pump with battery backup.

Installed in about 4 hours including filling the battery and a sandwich break.

The sump was filling up due to hard rain storm so I worked quickly but not too fast.

If you can change a faucet or a toilet plumbing, and read directions, you can do this.

This model did not need an external check valve, but I did need one more rubber slip union than came in the box.

Overall I am very impressed.

When you get the dual sump pump, plus the battery, plus the acid, plus the extra connector, it is just under $600 as the DIY price -- self installation. (post pandemic price, May 2022)

(changing my old one at 12 years, when I could tell it was going out).
