Ancient Thai Temples - Ayutthaya | Thailand 2019

Ayutthaya became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century. Its remains, characterized by the prang (reliquary towers) and gigantic monasteries, give an idea of its past splendour.
We spent a day exploring the Ancient temples by bike. We visited Wat Maha That, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Lokayasutharam as well as some smaller temples and the local night market.
Ayutthaya is an awesome place and we highly recommend spending a few days at least exploring the area!
