1JZ ‘85 Toyota Pickup | DruBilt

Join me as we dive into the world of DruBilt and his latest build, a 1JZ ‘85 Toyota Pickup. Saying that his 2nd Gen Toyota Pickup is immaculate is an understatement. Dru did not overlook even the smallest of details. Down to the nuts and bolts that are color coordinated with the color of the truck. One of my favorite features of his build are the titanium pieces he used throughout. From the intercooler piping to the intake and all the way back to the exhaust tip. And of course the titanium pieces are all color coordinated with the color scheme of the truck! It truly is a piece of art! Dru does a way better job at talking about his build and his role in the car community so definitely tune in! He also took the ‘85 to their first show this past weekend (since the 1JZ swap). Find out if he ended up winning any awards!

Dru is one of four who’s displayed on my 4Runner not only because he’s a great builder and friend, but because of his support and time that he put in to help me complete my build. I am proud to say that my 4Runner has the most gorgeous intake from RkTitanium designed by Dru himself! My one request was to have the intake routed as high up as we possibly could. Dru designed it to ensure it was as high as he could get it and tucked away in the back corner of the engine bay. When driving, the sound of the air moving through the intake is one of my favorite sounds! Dru also taught me and helped me mount all four wheels and tires in my garage. We had a snow run scheduled for the next day and wanted to test them out.

These are just a few examples of why I highly respect Dru. He and his family are the few that I know I can count on to have my back no matter what.
