We visited the Wells Cathedral and as we came upon the Clock we noticed that we had to wait only 2 minutes to see this very ancient clock strike the quarter hour.
We watched the four knights on horses jousting around in tournament.
The Wells Clock is circa 1390 CE and is one of the oldest medieval clock faces in the world.
The Wells Cathedral clock is an astronomical clock in the north transept of Wells Cathedral, England.
It was made by Peter Lightfoot, a monk at the Abbey.
