Year-ahead accuracy for the 2025 season across the Corn Belt was 81% on temperatures and 77% on rainfall. Year-ahead accuracy vs NOAA’s month ahead shows we consistently outperform the government 85% on temperatures, 86% on precipitation.

Bye Bye La Nina, here comes El Nino and it’s coming fast!

Not a fan of weather analogs, a methodology used by most meteorologists, but we show them here on what it suggests for Spring, Summer and Fall 2026. Kind of in agreement with our statistical math climate cycle forecasts.

Drought shows 68% of the U.S. in dry to drought phases, most in 4 years and 3rd most in 26 years, but this will rapidly erode in 2026, except maybe the Deep South – Texas.

Looking at the really dry and really wet years, 2026 being more on the wetter side than drought risk side. Could be even wetter than our year-ahead suggests here with conditions more like 2020 but not as wet as 2019. Definitely not a 1988, 2012 or 2023 drought cycle.

Seasonal summaries show a generally cool El Nino pattern across the U.S.

Severe weather not likely to be as bad as the past couple years, so least tornadoes in 3 years, but frequent cool is worrisome for a bigger tornadic outbreak.

Our week-by-week outlook shows the potential for another record crop yield year!

Europe, Russia, Ukraine shows low weather impacts, but China certainly has some dry risks with the developing El Nino. India looks to have the most risk with hot and dry conditions impacting their crops.

Africa is a mixed bag, but maybe some improvement in cocoa growing conditions.
