Smart over-actuated prototype wing | SmartX-Neo build | composite wing manufacturing | assembly pt1

Here is a timelapse of the wing assembly process for the #SmartX-Neo.

As with the Alpha wing, this process was quite critical and meticulous due to high number of instrumentation and cables involved both on top as bottom surface. This is more so a challenge for distributed over-actuated wing systems where the number of sensors and actuators scale with the number of flaps.

The composite wing was manufactured at Weberschock Prototyp-Entwicklung lab, under the excellent guidance of Martin Weberschock. This lab specializes in the development and consultation of specialized composite wing prototypes: https://www.weberschock-development.de.
