The Lexus LX, a mainstay in the luxury SUV market, is taking a new direction with the arrival of the electrified LX 700h for 2025. This launch marks a notable shift for Lexus, merging luxury with hybrid technology. Unlike many newer hybrids, the LX 700h retains its potent 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, now working alongside a parallel hybrid system. The Overtrail trim, available exclusively on the LX 700h in the U.S., highlights Lexus’s focus on off-road capability. This version includes front and rear differential locks, 18-inch all-terrain tires, and improved waterproofing for the hybrid battery. Despite the extra hybrid components, the LX 700h maintains an impressive water fording depth of 27.5 inches.

Inside, the LX 700h offers upgraded features, such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, redesigned front seats, and faster wireless charging. Additionally, a waterproof 2,400-watt AC inverter provides external power, making the LX a useful resource in emergencies.

The 2025 LX 700h will begin arriving at dealerships towards the end of the year, with pricing information to be revealed closer to its launch. As a reference, the standard LX600 starts at $93,915, and the new hybrid version is expected to come at a higher price point.
