新山宽柔中学廿四节令鼓队凭着曲目《传灯》荣获 银奖

《传灯》曲目介绍：

"1987，那一年中秋，有一首叫做《传灯》的歌，悠悠地在宽中大草场上唱起来。白发颤颤为童颜点灯。孩子们绕着大圈圈、快乐地提灯游园。"

小时候，我们哼着歌儿，跳着舞儿，欢天喜地地过节。
随着岁月流逝，我们在这片土地上渐渐长大。
当我们经历了成长与蜕变，懂事了，才发现：
原来，儿时过节的欢欣喜悦，竟是在教导我们文化传承的深远意义。
正因为"节，也是一种承传"，于是，我们过节，我们击鼓，我们欢歌。
我开始明白，"每一条河都要流下去"——那是华族的文化之河！牵系在我们身上，流淌在我们的血液里，是生命与血缘的延续，是伟大的责任！
我终于领悟，"每一盏灯都要燃烧自己"——那是我们每一个华人，肩负文化传承的艰巨使命！
鼓，不能停；歌，不能断！文化的薪火，还要永远传下去！

"Chuan Deng" - Pass on The Lamp
"It was the celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival in 1987, when the song "Chuan Deng" was first sung on the field of Foon Yew High School. The elders helped the children to light up the lanterns. The children carried the lanterns happily around the field."

When we were young, we sang happily and danced joyously in the festivals.
As the years passed, we grew up in this land and we realized -- celebrating festivals has taught us the profound significance of cultural heritage.
We treat the traditional festivals as the inheritance of culture; hence, we celebrate by playing the drums and singing the songs.

We realize- "Every river must continue to flow", it is the river of our culture! We are bound to it, it exists in our minds. It is the continuity of our lives and future generations- a great responsibility to bear!
We understand - "Every lamp must continue to shine its light" the lamps symbolize all of us -- shouldering the responsibilities of passing on our culture!
