Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana grows seeds of improved varieties for two main seasons of winter and summer vegetables. Winter seed kit is available by end of August at KVKs and Farm Advisory Centres in districts and at PAU Seed Shop at Ludhiana. Seeds of 10 types of vegetables are available in winter seed kit and cost of one kit is Rs. 100. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੀਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੀਜ ਫਾਰਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੀਜ ਕਿੱਟ ਅਗਸਤ ਦੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਹਫਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਵੀਕੇ ਤੇ ਫਾਰਮ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਤੇ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੀਜ ਕਿੱਟ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੀਜ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਿੱਟ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ 100/- ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿੱਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪੈਂਫਲਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਜਾਈ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਖਰੀਦੋ ਜੋ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਦੱਸੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਵੈੱਬਸਾਈਟ ਵੀ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਬਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪੇਜ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਲਿੰਕ ਮੇਨ ਪੇਜ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
