This video follows on from St Denys, heading two stops down the line through Southampton Central to Millbrook railway station. A small, 2-platform DfT Category F2 "Small unstaffed" train station, it was first built back in 1861. It used to have a station building and an older bridge alongside longer platforms (from looking at older images), but the station was rebuilt as the basic island platform seen today in 1935.

Along with the tracks seen either side, it used to directly border the sea inlet around Southampton, until the project to build the New Docks, eventually called the Western Docks, began in 1927 and finished in 1934. These comprise the massive carpark storage spaces and other facilities seen to the South of the station, along with various freightliner and passenger boats.

In summer 2021, works were undertaken to improve the footbridge that connects the island platform with Millbrook Road West. Southampton city council was able to use the rebuild to remove two steps at the northern end where the bridge joins Foundry Lane and replace them with a ramp. Limited space and a large volume of underground utilities meant Network rail left the southern end at the station steps only.
