9 second NA big block 496 powered Nova VP Fuels mid america race on Halloween

I finally cracked into the 9s on the engine when the fall air showed up for the heads up series I race. My 72 Nova Lucy let me kick the ball finally in 2020. hopefully her shenanigans, like the Charlie Brown character are behind us but that's not likely when my girl is nearly 50.
I drive to all the events, 80-90 miles round trip. the event is for street cars but most of the cars in my class arrive on a trailer. With help from my brother go go from street mode to race mode. that means I remove the exhaust, in this case a tire swap (new 28x9 MT pro bracket radial), and swap fuel systems to run from my n2o tank. that means I was using a Holley blue pump to feed my 700 HP 496. My distributor wrench went AWOL and I couldn't even adjust the timing on this day. I checked it and it was 2-3 degrees more than I wanted. Thankfully everything worked out.
