Silhouette Essentials Roto - 02C Manual Animation

This is the free version of Silhouette Essentials - Roto with Katie Morris, digital VFX artist and trainer. Work continues in earnest on rotoscoping the shorts. We look at where it's best to add manual keyframes, and learn about arcs of animation. Importantly we learn tips about how to roto cloth and wrinkles, specifically to avoid rippling or chattering matte edges. When dealing with complex shapes it can be advantageous to add Point Groups to a shape, to speed up roto in different areas of an object. There is a focus on customizing the point groups and moving effectively using keyboard shortcuts and modifier controls.

We do a short review of the final roto'ed shorts.
