When my son asked for a rainbow cake for his birthday I knew I wanted to use all natural food dyes. See six different natural food dyes in the form of freeze dried and dried powders, before and after they come out of the oven. Use one or all of these colors in your next bake! You can use unbleached parchment to create sections in your cake pan or use separate pans for each color. I used my "Heavenly White Cake" recipe and mixed the food color powders into the batter after all the other ingredients and then poured it into the section in the pan.
