Hesitations - Challenges - Problems - Resistance - Unconscious blocks - Stuck - whatever you want to call it - this is the one constant companion of the entrepreneur.

Learning how to notice hesitation and what to do about it - is one of our most important tasks in order to live our dreams and be successful in our business.

It’s not the business plan or the amount of money you put into Facebook ads - or the people you know or don’t know -- it’s the inner game we all have to play and win - for success.

Sometimes a small hesitation is a GIFT as it gives us a moment to reflect on what will be happening next and allowing that second to find the flaw and fix it. So then - how do you know when a simple hesitation becomes a problem?

When that hesitation expands and expands and expands and then all forward progress stops - that’s the biggest, most obvious clue that this hesitation has morphed into something else.

Let’s explore a few things you can do to get unstuck and moving again.

Some of my students have a drinking game. Whenever I mention “Google Calendar” - they all take a drink. Hopefully of kombucha :-) But to be completely serious here - using a calendar to get unstuck is a good first step.

1. Google Calendar Process:


Plan some time to sit with your calendar - Sunday nights are great for this, but Monday morning, before you start any work, is good too. This is easy to do on your phone, too, so you certainly don’t have to be at your desk. Do this while outside soaking up the sunshine!

Review your week ahead. Is everything scheduled that will be coming up for you to do this week? If not, finish adding those things to your calendar. Add everything - everything. The more you take what’ IN your head and get it ON a time block in your calendar - the better you will feel.

Then listen to your calendar. Yep. Let your calendar tell you what to do - let it lead your attention. And PAY ATTENTION to how you feel when doing those things. Check IN - to your insides - you know?

It will start to rewire your brain for completing tasks. I know this because of my own experience and the experience of my students all over the world. I’ll put a link to my signature time management program in the description or just reach out and I’ll send it to you.

2. Take a Break and Recharge:

Exercise while watching videos. OK. this one is new for me and I LOVE it. I made a rule for myself. I’m not allowed to watch any youtube video unless I’m up and doing arm exercises.

Set an alarm for every 50 minutes. Then when your alarm goes off, stand up and go outside and breathe real air for 5 minutes. Real air. Stick your head out the window. Do whatever it takes to get fresh air in your body.

3. Self Awareness is KEY:

Sit down and do your mediation. Just stay there until you feel that your inner world is at peace again. You are the CEO of your own life - you can do this if you need to. Forget work. Sit down.

Time to Journal that. If you love to write and feel your innermost workings come out when you sit with your journal - then pick it up. Let’s journal it out. Sometimes the thing that is causing the hesitation is brought to the surface through journaling. Then you can analyze the heck out it.

Dive into anything by Mel Robbins, Marisa Peer, or Brene Brown. I consider them masters of uncovering and unleashing your authentic self.
