What do Johan Sebastian Bach and The Vaselines have common? Lots, probably. But one thing is for certain is that John Butt, Gardiner Professor of Music at the University of Glasgow is a big fan of both. A world leading authority on Bach and a leading performer of his works, Professor Butt also likes to spend time listening to Glasgow indie heroes The Vaselines (as, of course, did Kurt Cobain). Unfortunately Professor Butt can’t get to meet Bach, but he can  - and at this event did - meet The Vaselines, making for a fascinating and insightful conversation with the band: Frances McKee and Eugene Kelly.
