A quick tutorial on how to add dust and hair in Blender using Geometry Nodes and the Shader Editor

This is mainly a baseline that can be adjusted to your specific needs in Blender

Instructions:
Make new Geometry Node Setup
Add Distribute Points on Face
Change Distribution Method to Poisson Disk
Add Join Geometry
Connect Group Input to Join Geometry
Add Multiply to Density Factor
Add Separate XYZ to Top Value
Add Normal to Vector
Add Instance on Points
Connect to Distribute Points on Faces
Add Random Value to Rotation
Check Pick Instance
Add Collection Info to Instance
Change to Relative
Check Separate Children and Reset Children
Add Random Value to Scale
Change Scale Max Value to .01
Change Rotation Max Value to 360
Select these five Geo Nodes (Shift-Click)
Ctrl+Shift+D and drag to duplicate with connections
Add Join Geometry and Connect to New Instance on Points
Connect to other Join Geometry
Connect to Group Output
Change New Scale Random Value Max to 0.3
Create an Icosphere
Shade Smooth
Shift+D to Duplicate
Press S and X, Y, or Z to change scale
Apply a Subdivision Surface Modifier to all
Repeat for a few more
Apply Subdivision Surface Modifier to all
Change Value to 2
Select all
M to Add to Collection (Dust and Hair)
Create a Bezier Curve
Tab to Edit
Press Delete to Delete Vertices
Select Pencil to draw Curve
Draw hair shape
Go to curve settings and change depth to 0.01
Select Fill Caps
Right-Click and Convert to Mesh
Apply Subdivision Surface Modifier to all
Change to 2
Go to shader editor
Name Material
Add Mix Shader
Connect Mix Shader to Material Output
Add Transparent BSDF
Change Principled BSDF Color to Grey
Change Roughness to 1.00
Change Factor to 0.16
Add Translucent BSDF
Connect to Mix Shader
Connect to Material Output
Add Diffuse BSDF
Change Roughness to 0.2
Move Points closer to center and change black value to grey
Add Object Info to Color Ramp
Set it to Random
Apply Materials to all objects
Add Dust Collection to first Collection Info Node
Add Hair Collection to second Collection Info Node
You can adjust the dust and hair size in the Max Random Value Node
You can also control where the dust and hair go
X goes to one side, Y goes to the top and side, and Z goes to the front and back
Disconnecting it will make the dust and hair go over the whole object
