Josey Conquers Her Fears - FIRST EVER Mountain Trip!

We are taking our young appaloosa mule, Josey, packing in the mountains with her pack saddle on for the VERY FIRST TIME! If you have been following along with Josey's journey than you have watched as she was halter broke, broke to lead, taught to load in the trailer, gained confidence around scary objects, gained trust in us, and was even saddled up for the first time. Since those videos we have continued her ground work. We have saddled her up and walked her around the neighborhood countless times and now she is ready for her first trip into the mountains getting ponied by Clyde! This is like a dream come true to FINALLY have Josey coming with us. Even though she is only two years old and cant handle much weight, she can still come with us an experience the mountains and all the "scary" things that you will find in them like deer, elk, antelope, bear, cattle, rocks, logs, rabbits, grouse...the list goes on if your a baby mule! Haha!
