Strand Life Sciences, a Reliance subsidiary and a pioneer in genomics and precision medicine, celebrated its 25th anniversary with the launch of next-generation, AI-powered upgrades to its flagship bioinformatics and diagnostics platforms. Established in 2000 as India’s first bioinformatics spin-off from IISc, Strand has grown into a global leader serving customers across the US, Europe, and Asia. Its platforms have contributed to over 25,000 scientific publications worldwide, highlighting its impact on genomic research.

Marking the milestone, the company introduced three major innovations. StrandOmics 2.0 brings deeper and more efficient genetic data interpretation using AI, enabling integration of complex clinical descriptions and faster analysis of relevant genes. CytoRx AI supports cancer researchers and pharma companies by generating AI-powered single-cell datasets to accelerate discovery of novel cancer therapeutics. CancerSpot 2.0 expands early cancer detection from 10 to 14 cancer types and increases its training dataset by 70% for enhanced accuracy.

CEO Dr. Ramesh Hariharan said the company’s diagnostics business has grown 10x since joining Reliance, adding that AI-driven genomics will shape the future of preventive and precision healthcare in India.
