Tank Event Oeselgem 2024

Korte impressie van het "Tank Event" evenement in Oeselgem, waar verleden en heden samenkomen. De grootste verzameling militaire voertuigen uit de periode ‘40-‘45 ooit samengebracht in Vlaanderen, stond het weekend van 17 en 18 augustus centraal in Oeselgem. Van indrukwekkende tanks en zware artillerie tot historische vrachtwagens en rupsvoertuigen, dit openluchtmuseum op het terrein van de Leieslag in mei 1940 bracht geschiedenis tot leven. Ter herdenking van de bevrijding van België, 80 jaar geleden, hebben we dit bijzondere moment vastgelegd met onze camera en drone.

Brève impression de l'événement "Tank Event" à Oeselgem, où passé et présent se rejoignent. La plus grande collection de véhicules militaires de la période 40-45 jamais réunie en Flandre a été mise à l'honneur à Oeselgem le week-end du 17 et 18 août. Des chars impressionnants et de l'artillerie lourde aux camions historiques et aux véhicules chenillés, ce musée en plein air sur le site de la bataille de la Lys en mai 1940 a donné vie à l'histoire. Pour commémorer la libération de la Belgique, il y a 80 ans, nous avons immortalisé ce moment exceptionnel avec notre caméra et notre drone.

A brief impression of the "Tank Event" in Oeselgem, where past and present come together. The largest collection of military vehicles from the 1940-1945 period ever assembled in Flanders took center stage in Oeselgem on the weekend of August 17th and 18th. From impressive tanks and heavy artillery to historic trucks and tracked vehicles, this open-air museum on the site of the Battle of the Lys in May 1940 brought history to life. In commemoration of the liberation of Belgium, 80 years ago, we captured this special moment with our camera and drone.
