The Louise Woodward Trial: 25 Years On | This Morning

Описание к видео The Louise Woodward Trial: 25 Years On | This Morning

In 1997 the case of teenage nanny Louise Woodward divided opinions across the world. In a televised and highly publicised trial, the then 19-year-old was found guilty of shaking eight-month-old Matthew Eappen to death. But despite being sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 15 years, her conviction was reduced to manslaughter just a week later and she was released after 279 days in prison. Ahead of a new ITV documentary seeking to examine the trial and its aftermath, today we’re joined by former court reporter Clara Tuma, who reported on the case at the time, and forensic psychologist Keri Nixon.
