In 2014, BART opened a connector service from the Coliseum BART station directly to the OAK terminal. What makes it interesting is that it is a cable-pulled, automated system like a gondola on tracks. It also has an 'interesting' design in that there are two cable runs requiring the train to switch cables at a utility location that may someday be a third station and to allow the possibility of more trains running simultaneously.
