1979 Challenger 21 Walkthrough and Water Test | PowerBoat Television

While taking an inside look at the build and testing of the brand new Tuff 34, we learned that the original Tuff design was inspired by the classic Challenger hulls. As luck would have it, our friend Greg Keeling had come upon an original Challenger 21 from 1979. In fact, Greg's boat is THE original Challenger 21, hull number 0001, the first one off the line. Complete with a crushed velour interior, 8-track deck, foot throttle and a pair of thirsty Evinrude 235 outboards, this is a blast from the past... and a blast on the water!
