Different regions across the country continue to bear the brunt of nature’s fury as relentless torrential downpours persist, wreaking havoc. In Tana River County, the swelling Tana River which burst its banks weeks ago continues to wreak havoc, devastating communities along its path with the impact being felt downstream in Lamu, where sections of the Gamba area have been swept away. This comes as the government intensifies its efforts to evict residents living in flood-prone areas as was witnessed on Saturday in Nairobi’s Mukuru Kayaba.
