A level crossing, controlled from nearby Milford Junction Signal Box and monitored via CCTV, located on a very quiet road near the villages of Monk Fryston and Hillam to the north east of Castleford. Trains on this section of the Dearne Valley Line can either come from or go to Sherburn-in-Elmet station (and on towards Church Fenton and York), the freight sidings at Milford, Gascoigne Wood Power Plant (and on towards Selby), Castleford, Knottingley, or Pontefract Baghill, and there are four tracks at this level crossing. At present, during the day, most of the usage here is an okay amount freight traffic along-side the sparse services using the line via Pontefract Baghill and Moorthorpe, but the passenger traffic (and overall usage on some nights) increases quite a bit at night as some of the last trains of the day and a few stock movements from nearby depots use the line for drivers' route retention as it's a diversion route should there be issues / engineering work elsewhere. The crossing is well-lit, and it's quite a remote, pleasant, and safe location on a lesser-used road, making it a good place to watch trains overnight if you ever wanted to!

Since the filming of these videos, there is now a regular daytime Transpennine Express service through this crossing on the line towards Castleford, albeit to start off with only around peak-times, as Castleford Station's second platform has re-opened as of later in 2023.

Both a passenger service and a freight train feature in this video. The former was one of a few trains per day running the full length of the Dearne Valley Line via Moorthorpe and Pontefract Baghill (West Yorkshire's least-used and least-served station), and the latter was a freight train heading between Knowsley near Wigan and Wilton on Teesside. To quote the cliché often used by other railway enthusiasts who enjoy filming at level crossings, and because the alarms here do, the loud alarms here sound pretty identical to the ones at Pirton Level Crossing near Worcester!
