The Video Creator app from Sony that can do AI automated editing of videos. The app is available in the play store and I tried it before getting the Android 14 update.
Lock screen customizations and new actions directly from the lock screen. This is my favorite so far with some small changes to the Android UI in Android 14.

After the Xperia 1 V update the phone works normally even though I was worried a bit as some people seem to experience a black screen after the Android 14 update.
If you get a black screen after updating try removing the sim card tray and repeat the steps if you can.

I can tell for sure there is a big difference in battery life and the phone is not overheating now.
I use the phone as usual but it feels cool in the hand and it broke my charging cycles as I was used to it getting to 30% where now at the same time it's approx. 60%.

From what I noticed, the background time is very little on Android 14.

I use the phone the same way, Video calls in Telegram were making the phone really hot but after the update it only gets a bit warm.

Will see if it keeps going, maybe I changed the way I use the phone.

Being on reddit all day, YouTube, YouTube studio and Telegram is my usual.

Android 14 is supposed to manage background tasks better for the battery so that's really great! Should do the same for the Sony Xperia 5V.

I love the lockscreen quick action buttons and especially for wallet (Google Pay).
On Android 13 there were no buttons on the lock screen on for me but now they are there.

I don't use the Google Home but if you do, there is the quick shortcut button for home setting.
