How to Create an Infinite Photo Swoop in Autodesk Maya

In this Autodesk Maya tutorial, I will show you how to create an infinite photo swoop quickly and easily. This is a great technique to use when you are photographing objects or setting up different renders for products and objects.

Step 1: Create a Plane

The first thing you need to do is create a plane in Maya. You can do this by going to the Poly Modeling shelf and selecting the "Plane" tool.

Step 2: Set the Subdivisions

Next, you need to set the subdivisions of the plane. You can do this by opening the Attribute Editor and going to the "Polyplane" tab. Under the "Subdivisions" section, set the "Width" and "Height" to 1.

Step 3: Switch to Edge Mode

Now, you need to switch to Edge Mode. You can do this by right-clicking and holding, then selecting "Edge Mode" from the menu.

Step 4: Extrude the Edges

Next, you need to extrude the edges of the plane. To do this, press `Ctrl`+`E` and then click and drag the mouse up.

Step 5: Bevel the Edges

Now, you need to bevel the edges of the plane. To do this, hold `Shift` and right-click, then select "Bevel Edge" from the menu. Set the "Segments" to 4 and the "Fraction" to 0.5.

Step 6: Scale the Plane

Now, you need to scale the plane. You can do this by pressing `R` and then dragging the mouse.

Step 7: Smooth the Plane

Finally, you can smooth the plane by right-clicking and selecting "Smooth" from the menu. Set the "Divisions" to 2 or 3.

That's it! You have now created an infinite photo swoop in Autodesk Maya.**
