In this video, dr karthikeyan explains about the role of balanced diet and calorie counting for maintenance of body weight and overall body health in tamil. Balanced diet concept is explained with the help of plate counting method wherein carbohydrates and complex carbohydrate occupy one third of food plate, protein occupy another third of food plate and vegetables and fruits occupy half of the food plate. Further the calculation of different calorie value for different food stuffs and the appropriate calorie calculation for different age groups is demonstrated in tamil by doctor karthikeyan in this video.
