This video takes a first look at an Etchr Slate mini that I decided to buy from Jackson's Art Supplies in the UK. The Etchr Slate mini is a lightweight carry case or shoulder bag, an alternative to a wooden pochade box that artists use to paint outdoors or en plein air. The Etchr Slate mini is made by Etchr Labs and features several pockets to allow you to carry sketchbook, paints, pencils and other materials for a day out in the countryside painting on location. It uses strong velcro inside to allow you to attach sketchbook, brushes, pencils, pens etc securely. It has a strong and comfortable shoulder strap with padding to allow you to paint standing up with the bag open like a tray in front of you. Alternatively it has a fitting to allow you to attach it to a lightweight camera tripod and so use it more like an easel. It is waterproof and can be used with traditional media or a tablet for digital artists.
