Taking a trip back to 1999, where Naughty Dog's final game on the Crash Bandicoot series: Crash Team Racing takes place. Basically an alien named Nitrous Oxide comes to Earth to propose a challenge: If he wins, Earth will be enslaved If the driver wins, he leaves it alone.

Of course the racer has to be decided by winning all the trophies and keys to be crowned world champion in which they get the right to face Oxide.
