This video is a great mini-webinar about the accessioning process for historical archives. The process will prepare formal Deed of Gift or Thankyou Notes, link the accession to the appropriate collection (record group or fonds), link the boxes/containers to available spaces in the warehouse, and even make the accession available to the online public search.
The webinar uses Eloquent Archives™, a cloud-based archives collections management system (ACM) that provides archivists with a complete set of integrated modules to handle both physical and digital content. The Accession/Deaccession module is a valuable first step in building the historical database and organizing the remainder of the processes involved. It helps make the backlog manageable.
