CSX Rumbles Over A Grade In Florida, Amtrak Horn Salute & Wave, CSX Train Takes The Wye In Lakeland

Freight Train Speeds Over A Small Hill In Florida, Amtrak With GE Locomotive Gives Horn Salute & Wave, CSX Train Goes Around Sharp Curve On The Winston Wye & Amtrak Train Makes Station Stop In Lakeland, Florida. CSX Trains, Amtrak & A Train With A Caboose In The City Of Lakeland, Florida.
Passenger trains and freight trains from our trip to Florida during February perfect weather. First, we see an Amtrak train make a stop at the station in Lakeland and then continue on. This train has a GE B32-8WH built in December of 1991. Have you ever seen one of these awesome units? Later in the video you will see this same train passing by in the other direction at night.
Then we see the Lakeland Fire Department on a run and then we head over to Winston Yard. Here we see a CSX mixed freight take the east leg of the wye to get on the CSX mainline through Lakeland. There is a spot here that would be a perfect Railfan location.
After that we return to the area near the Amtrak station. Here we see a train come over the grade eastbound. Yes, this is a good grade in the state of Florida! Notice how the train speeds up after it crests the grade but first listen to the locomotives working hard. That is music to my ears son!
The final train is the first Amtrak train coming back from Tampa on its way to Miami. The outro will show the Live Action Pets, the slide show from the video and part of a train with a caboose on the rear that is westbound through Lakeland. This is video left over from our trip to Florida.
Filmed February 24 and 27, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. The Live Action Pets were filmed in late May, 2024 and the chicks were filmed on May 24, 2024 at Tractor Supply Company in Sardinia, Ohio. Thanks for watching!
