Besides, our special episode, ‘Adventure Around the World’ highlights nature, biodiversity, and conservation efforts worldwide.

Viewers, Azerbaijan is a country rich in mineral resources, situated in the southern Caucasus region, between Europe and Asia.
Although this Muslim-majority country is about half the size of Bangladesh, its population is only 10 million.
Baku, a port city on the shores of the Caspian Sea, is the capital of Azerbaijan.
Along with abundant mineral resources, diverse topography and biodiversity, make Azerbaijan unique.
Today's episode of Adventure Around the World features the nature and biodiversity of Azerbaijan.

We have started our journey from Şüvəlan, Baku to Yanar Dag, also known as Burning Mountain.
The fire is always burning here because of gas.
Azerbaijan is a country rich in oil and gas.
We hope to reach soon there.

Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan.
One feature of Azerbaijan is that it was once part of the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).
Later, the USSR collapsed and Azerbaijan became a separate state.

We are now heading towards Burning Mountain, passing by the Caspian Sea.
This shore of the Caspian Sea looks rough like a desert.
I can see some Gulls flying over the sea.
There are many houses near the shore.

One unique feature of the Caspian Sea is that it stretches across five countries.
They are Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Iran.

We are now at the Yanar Dag, the Burning Mountain.
There, we will enjoy the warmth of the fire.

I am standing in front of the Burning Mountain.
One interesting fact is that Azerbaijan is known as the Land of Fire.
The main reason behind this is that there is a pocket of gas inside this mountain.
It is a rocky mountain.
The fire here burns for 24 hours.
This is called a natural example of sustainable energy.
I’m really enjoying this place because I can warm up by the fire in the cold weather.

Many people are throwing coins near the fire for good luck.
But actually, this is just a myth.
Throwing coins does not make any wish come true.
However, people still believe it might work.

Many activities are happening here.
A young boy is riding a horse around the area.
There is a beautiful gallery here for sitting.
They also sell souvenirs at Burning Mountain.
