‪@adventuringlight‬ and I rappelled down this abandoned furnace ventilation shaft to access this old coal mine from the late 1800s. There is a mystery to this mine, there was no name, number or any information to suggest why it was only mined for a year. It was a large undertaking to construct such a deep air shaft. There is a mine directly across, less than 100ft that was 20 times the size of this one, with a name. While exploring this mine, we found a lot of antique bottles, including a holy grail Pepsi Cola bottle from 1908. #abandonded #underground #vintage
