Back in the day, pocket money was literally pocket change! My family members, now in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, used to get 50 paise as their weekly allowance. Yes, you read that right—just 50 paise! Adjusted for inflation, that might have been enough for a treat or two, but imagine trying to buy anything with that today! (Ofc You can’t. 😅)

This got us thinking—times have changed, but the value of pocket money goes beyond the amount. Pocket money isn’t just about giving your kids spending power. It’s about teaching them the real life lessons: budgeting, saving, and spending wisely. 💡 It’s like giving them a crash course in financial literacy, starting from managing their first 50/500 rupee note to their first rupee paycheck.
