Vintage Vernco Model L-9-I 20" 3-Speed Electrically Reversible Thermo-Controlled Box Fan

After buying all the Vernco-built fans, I finally ended up bringing home a Vernco-labeled box fan. I've seen a couple of early YouTube videos of the model along with a window fan with the exact same propeller as this fan, but I was reluctant to buy one with this propeller because I remember getting my hands on 3 identical window fans with this propeller (but white in color), & those propellers were very flimsy. they were not only out of balance but too flexible as well. Miraculously, the propeller inside this box fan is in perfect balance. You'll also hear a pretty loud hum that the motor makes when fire this fan up. Also, when I fire it up, the light comes on & stays on if the thermostat is set at a position that will shut the motor off, indicating that there is still power. Thanks for watching!
