I’m a pretty big fan of games that are challenging and roguelites, so when I saw Darkest Dungeon on sale recently, I decided I should probably get the game that people have been recommending for like 2 years now. I might be a little late to the party, but whatever. I look forward to probably failing miserable a bunch and going insane trying to delve deep into the Darkest Dungeon.

Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic roguelike turn-based RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring. Recruit, train, and lead a team of flawed heroes against unimaginable horrors, stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark. Can you keep your heroes together when all hope is lost? I probably can’t. Oh well. The Crimson Court DLC adds probably the worst area and bosses ever conceived, in addition to The Crimson Curse which is honestly one of my favorite things in a video game ever /s I’m really thankful that Barwick convinced me to buy it. The Color of Madness DLC adds the Farmstead, which is basically an Endless mode and a whole lot of balance changes that I don’t understand because I never really played before them, but people say the balance changes were good, so cool I guess.
