Federal Board Notification: Old vs New Course Syllabus Transition

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, has issued a notification regarding the implementation of the National Curriculum of Pakistan (NCP) 2022-23. This affects key subjects including English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and Mathematics.

Key Details:
New Curriculum Implementation:

SSC-I/HSSC-I: From the academic session 2024-25.
SSC-II/HSSC-II: From the academic session 2025-26.
Transition Period for Old Course Students:

Students of SSC-I and HSSC-I who appeared under Curriculum 2006 in 2024 and wish to reappear for improvement or to pass failed papers can continue with the old curriculum until the 2nd Annual Examination 2027.
Similarly, SSC-II and HSSC-II students appearing in 2025 exams will follow the same guidelines.
