There ain’t no guarantees in this life, I gotta gotta keep my chin upEverybody’s got their own pain & strife, I gotta get rid of my hang-ups
Living in the past with your ghost has gotta be the dumbest thing that I’ve ever done
And it’s eating me alive to realize the time that I’ve wasted on the prodigal son
I’ve been through fire

I gotta have a lot of good coming to me cuz I give what I can to my friends and family. I try to live my life by this philosophy:
“Give what you can and take only what you need”
I’m not claiming to be a saint, cuz I’m a sinner--I just like to help those who are blessed a little thinner. We’re all gonna have a dark chapter in our lives
When it feels like the sun is not shining so bright
So the best that can happen in those times of trouble is to have friends and family who are there on the double
cuz we’re all gonna say someday…
