Welcome to the first episode of our series on the 1972 Chevrolet Blazer. This classic SUV is a true masterpiece of American automotive engineering, and we're going to take a deep dive into everything that makes it special. In this episode, we're going to focus on two exciting modifications - the dash modification and the kick panels.

Let's start with the dash. The original dash of the 1972 Chevrolet Blazer was functional but not exactly eye-catching. It was a plain, flat surface with a few gauges and switches. But with a little bit of creativity and some custom fabrication, we can transform it into something truly unique.

Our modified dash boasts a sleek, contoured design that adds a touch of style to the interior of the Blazer. It's been custom fabricated to fit perfectly and houses a range of upgraded gauges and switches that not only look great, but also improve functionality. From a central tachometer to a full set of auxiliary gauges, this dash has it all.

Now, let's take a look at the kick panels. The kick panels in the 1972 Chevrolet Blazer are functional, but again, they're not exactly aesthetically pleasing. They're made of plain, flat plastic and don't do much to enhance the look of the interior. But with a little bit of custom fabrication, we can transform them into a work of art.

Our modified kick panels are truly one-of-a-kind. They've been custom fabricated to match the sleek, contoured design of the dash and feature a range of upgraded speakers for an unbeatable sound experience. Whether you're cruising down the highway or parked at a show, these kick panels are sure to turn heads.

Sound System Overview
In this video, Music In Motion's Scott Miller gives our viewers an overview of the process to modify the dash and build the custom kick panels. Scotts passion and enthusiasm for everything car audio comes out clearly in this video.

This 1972 Blazer has an Alpine ILX-309 head unit installed. However, the owner didn't like how it just stuck out so Scott created a custom surround to "flush mount" the head unit as requested. In addition, Scott fabricated custom kick panels to house the Arc Audio RS6.0 speakers. These reference series sound amazing and are mounted in such a way as you almost don't notice them.

World Class Restomod Background
The "Copper Blazer" is a topless 1972 Chevrolet Blazer that has been expertly customized with no money spared and a host of unique custom design features. At the SEMA exhibition in 2021, this Blazer was on display in the Mother's stand.

This Elite Restomod's powered by a Translucent Copper painted 2.9-liter Whipple supercharged 6.2-liter LS3 engine, which is paired with a built, paddle-shifted 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission. The Blazer also features a custom interior and stereo system, high-tech lighting, and a Nascar-style rear suspension system. It earned the Builder's Choice award at The Classic at Pismo Beach 2021.

That's it for this episode of our series on the 1972 Chevrolet Blazer. We hope you enjoyed learning about these two exciting modifications. Stay tuned for the next episode, where we'll be exploring even more ways to make this classic SUV truly your own. Specifically, the second video will focus on custom fabricated a-pillars while discreetly incorporating custom LED lights.
