Survival of Wild Dogs | Classic documentary from Rajapalayam | Episode – 2

Episode 2 from “Path to Survival” continues to showcase the survival of Wild Dogs with rare footages. The unique behaviour of wild dogs (Dholes) of Rajapalayam, from a small town abutting Western Ghats at Tamil Nadu is first of its kind. The story attempts to record the behaviour of one particular pack of wild dogs and its puppies. It is a series of episodes recordings its life, behaviour, challenges & future of its survival in the environment largely determined by human Species. This video is only created to depict the behaviour of dholes and survival how each of us have responsibility and responsible behaviour.

We managed to record them over a period of 1 year and continued our study thereafter. Our wonderful experience also recorded rapid conversion of barren land & change in the habitat. In last 4 years we could see drastic changes to the habitat directly impacting the behaviour of species. Environment cannot be recreated in the nursery, research and fertility centres as humans continue to ponder on the unknown wealth.

The story also records some unique behaviour adapting to the environment. Survival of each species however small or big, are important part of this environment. The dholes are quickly becoming extinct and needs collective participation of every human species before they are eradicated completely like many other small species. Humans believe every species can be recreated with fertility centers which can only create a weaker species.

The abusive behaviour of human species has direct impact on the animal species and determines its path to survival. The growing greediness of human species are quickly eradicating its own species which the humans are unmindful.
