ניגון ההכנה לד׳ בבות (#ארבע בבות) - ניגון צ״ג בספר הניגונים חב״ד (בשם ניגון לשבת ויום-טוב) - זהו ניגון קדוש מתוק ומיוחד. נהוג שמנגנים אותו כהכנה לפני שמנגנים את ניגונו הקדוש של האדמו״ר הזקן (בעל התניא והשו״ע) המכונה ד׳ בבות (מכוון כנגד ארבעת העולמות שבסדר השתלשלות הבריאה - את ניגון ד׳ בבות מנגנים בזמנים מיוחדים ואחד מהם הוא בעת הליכת החתן והכלה ועמידתם תחת החופה).

ידוע שהרבי הרש״ב (רבי שלום דוב-בער - הרבי החמישי של חב״ד) אהב את הניגון הזה במיוחד והורה לנגנו לעתים קרובות ולכן ניגון זה מיוחס אליו (ונמנה בין הניגונים המכוונים - היינו ניגונים שהתוכן שבהם מתאים ומכוון לעולמות הרוחניים העליונים ולעבודת ה׳ של יהודי כאן למטה).

ניגון זה גם נקרא בשם ׳ניגון רוסטוב׳ (מכיון שהיו מנגנים אותו אצל הרבי הרש״ב נ״ע בעיקר בתקופת מגוריו ברוסטוב (לאחרי יציאתו מליובאוויטש בזמן מלחמת העולם הראשונה - תרע״ו).

[ניגון נוסף הנקרא ניגון רוסטוב גם הוא נקרא ׳ניגון הכנה׳ אך הכוונה ׳הכנה׳ לאמירת ׳מאמר׳ ׳דברי אלקים חיים׳ - ׳דא״ח׳ - ביאור בתורת החסידות].

This song is an holy sweet and special song, called Nigun Hachana (preparation song) l’4 Bavot - Nigun 93in Sefer ha’nigunim Chabad - so-called because there is a custom to sing that song before singing the Holiest song of Rabbi Shneur Zalmen (Baal Ha’tanya) which called Dalet Bavot [according to the 4 levels of the spiritual worlds. there is special occasions and times separated to sing the 4 Bavot song. the most known one is at the time when they’re taking the bride and groom to the Chupa]f

It is known that the Rebbe Rashab - the fifth Rebbe of Chabad - loved this song very much, and that’s why this song related to him (and actually considered as a Nigun Mechuvan (= nigun that contain a meaning suiting the G-dliness in the worlds and so has the specialty and capability to elevate the man - who sings that kind of songs with deep connection to the original tunes of the song - and to reveal (means to bring into being active) in him the g-dliness spark)

Niguan Ha’achana has also another name “Nigun Rostov” (due the fact that it was singing so often by the Rebbe Rashab the fifth Rebbe of Chabad mainly at the time he have been living in Rostov, Russia [at the time of the WorldWarTwo after going out of Lubavitch - 1906
