Persian Pastries, Chicken Sandwich and Lavender Tea Latte - Lavendar Art Cafe - Season 2 Episode 1

Hi! I’m Mali and today C and I went to the Lavender Art Cafe a new cafe serving some very yummy Persian food! We had a blast sampling: Komaj bread with dates and walnuts, vanilla cake, tiramisu with a twist, Persian baklava, a carrot delight which is carrots seed star cookie, the lavender cake and a grilled chicken sandwich.

The carrot delight had a sweet and nutty and interesting taste to it. The Komaj bread is a hearty bread, with a nice flavour profile and savoury, onions, mid-eastern spices. The grilled chicken sandwich, had tomato, pesto, cheese, chicken and really nice, the bread is crunchy. The Persian baklava is almost like the baklava is like a rounded tube and taste wise it was mild and lightly sweet with a yummy filling. The lavender cake, sprinkled with lavender sugar and it was light, and airy and has a light lavender taste. The vanilla cake is light and airy, has a hinting of vanilla, really lovely with a light floral palette. The Persian tiramisu, has bananas and walnuts infused into layers of whipping cream, chocolate and with a hint of coffee taste.

We also had lavender latte which was delightful, light creamy with a hint of fresh lavender bits on top. An attention to detail I thought was lovely were the teacup placemats were little Persian rugs and the napkins were folded in the shape of a tulip.

The owner Farraz is incredibly lovely and welcoming, very hospitable. The attention to detail was generous and I can't say enough good things about the Lavender Art Cafe. Do yourself a favour and go! Since filming I took my hubby to Lavender Art Cafe and we sipped on saffron espresso and had a lovely chat with the lovely owner. The Lavender Art Cafe is a great place to go for tea or coffee and if you choose, a lunch.
