What is CSCS Blue Card?

CSCS Blue card is issued to experienced workers who have completed the relevant training needed to fulfill their responsibilities on site safely and effectively.

Also referred as CSCS Skilled Worker Card

Skilled worker CSCS Card Requirements

To get your skilled worker CSCS card, you need to complete a
Level 2 NVQ, or relevant qualification
The qualification must be relevant to the specific tasks

Example

Level 2 NVQ in specific trades like bricklaying, Carpentry, Steel fixer Etc
Must be completed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test (HS&E) within the past two years.

Can Someone get a blue CSCS card without an NVQ?

No, You have to complete a Level 2 NVQ or equivalent
Still need to get on-site but don’t yet have qualifications for a blue card, you can enroll for NVQ Level-2 in your trade which will help you to get either an experienced worker (for 1 year) card or the trainee card (5 years).
